Although this Mk4 Escort is badged as an XR3i, this is believed to be a 1.6i, as is shown on the paperwork. First registered on 1st August 1989, it's a cross-over specification, with the 1990-spec interior but earlier-type front bumper and ‘dog leg’ alloy wheels. Spec includes electric windows, electric mirrors. The roof appears to be sound but the vendor tells us the mechanism is not working.
The car was recorded as a Category C insurance loss in 2004, but has been MOTed most years since then, and its current MOT lasts until 3rd December 2025. It comes with a few receipts, showing that the 1597cc CVH engine (with mechanical injection) received a new water pump in 2021 and cambelt in 2023.
